Thought this was a cute picture.
I don't use the word cute very often.
Tucker, likes aircooled VW's.
As do I.

What I did on Sunday
I decided to paint my bus Hunter Green, and almond with an Orange Stripe around the middle.
The Orange stripe wasn't what I was going for. I'm thinking I might re paint it Red again.
The Samba.com has pictures from my last paint adventure. The Samba.com is about the best VW forum around.

Spring is nearly Here....
I'm really starting to get excited.. Spring is almost Sprung!
I haven't posted anything to this blog for about 2 weeks.
I had planned to take a day or two during the nice weather we were supposed to have. I had some stuff to do to the bus.
Instead, I shot a Coke Bottle cap in my eye and scratched my eyeball. The old school metal kind.
Which sucks.. nothing good about that.
So I didn't get the chance. I didn't really do much of anything actually.
But after the daylight saving time spring forward thing, I now have an extra hour of daylight.
So I can tend to my crops. Garden time..
Check it-(my Seedling Soldiers)
I used a little green house to jump start my garden... Garden should be good.
This upcoming weekend, I think I might put my dash back in.
Or at least try to update some of the 500 pictures I've taken so far.
So I can back-date this blog with the things that have been done so far..
Meanwhile, here's one piece of Electro-wizardry, I will install on my bus to help me see whats behind me.
Here you go.
I made the pictures large enough to read the box.
Click if you want to get a better look.
Waterproof, night vision, wide angle of view, rear view, flush mount camera.
Soon to be mounted on a 1976 VW Bus. Nice.
I believe it was 27 dollars plus shipping at Buy.com. The link has the price and the specs.
Or some of them at least.
I should get one for my other bus. I'll post pictures when I mount it..yep.

Come On! Spring.
I've been thinking about the Hitop.
It's still winter and I'm itching to do stuff.
It's still winter.
It's not the coldest out there, but it's cold enough for me.
I've been trying to grab low cost, or Cheap stuff for the Bus.
One of the things I ran across is this- A battery powered, LED Automatic Closet light.
The dimensions are roughly 2 1/4 long by 1 1/4 wide in inches, because I'm in America.
It has a little magnetic strip that mounts beside the light.
When the light is away from the magnet, it lights with the fury of 1 LED!
Not much, but enough. As lighting and energy consumption was a concern for camping,
I don't want to run down my batteries while camping. This light will be usable. I bought 3 so far.
I'm thinking I need about ten. \
The bus has cabinets and will have drawers and other cabinets, so why not illuminate them.
Here's the one Picture, I took before my camera (Canon Powershot A710 IS) went dead, got to charge my batteries.
I got them from Dollar Tree, here in Tidewater Virginia.
One Dollar.....
Very Nice.
I'll post some pictures later.
Maybe a cool night shot....maybe not.

Cool Bus Stuff
After taking pictures of the "Micro Bus" my girlfriend made a snazzy key chain for me.

Kind of reminds me of MR. Bill..
Either way I like them... the key chains, not Mr. Bill.
He can go to hell...
Check out this weird page, it has Mr. Bill running around- looks kind of creepy..
Mr.Bill Creepy walk
I think it's the same clay that was used for the Micro bus.
Whatever it is I like it..
Here's a picture..

VW Bus, actually a VW Microbus that I got for Christmas
I've said before, I like VW Bus stuff.
I really enjoy Baywindow bus stuff, mainly because the demand is less.
Demand is less, therefore less Baywindow Bus stuff out there.
So when I see stuff, I try to pick it up.
My Girlfriend found this really cool MicroBus and got it for me for Christmas.
I think it's neat, it's a mini diorama complete with it's own little highway.
There's more in my Flickr.. Here's a couple to check out.

Chili Pepper Lights for my HiTop VW Bus...
Picked these up at a Junk Shop.
I'm going to use these for awning lights.
They were pretty expensive, $1.98.
They came in a bag with 4 strings of chili pepper lights.
Here's a picture, they are also in the Flickr photo stream too.
I think they are going to be very cool. I posted pretty much the same thing at CheapGeek.net
The more things I can buy at a Junk Shop the better,
Camping stuff especially. Save a buck, to spend it elsewhere. Spend it on the bus...yep...

VW Bus stuff for Valentines Day!
Very Cool indeed.
Here's a couple more pictures.
Very Cool, VW Bus Candy.
It's tin foil wrapped chocolate and it's pretty tasty.
I enjoy VW Bus related stuff, and for Valentines Day- this was perfect.
I haven't seen stuff like VW Bus Chocolates before.
The card and the VW Bus bag is nifty too. Very nice.
Very Good. OOPS, I forgot a picture of the bag.
Cool? Yes, yes it is..
